Upon the Shore

Written ~ 2000

I walk along upon the shore
And wander where I have been before
Another life, another time,
Another path along the line.

What have I learned along the way?
Before the Scales, what will I say?
Along the unblemished shore
I walk where I have been before.

The path I walk may be the same,
Yet where I go is not whence I came.
The Wheel spins round and round.
Until I learn, I am bound.

I walk along the silent shore.
I walk a path I’ve not walked before.
For I have learned and I have grown.
I have seen the Chalice and the Stone.

And the Wheel spins round and round –
Yet, I have learned, and am not bound.
